Guided East Texas Wingshooting
The picturesque deep East Texas Piney Woods gives a vivid hunting backdrop for a plantation style upland bird hunt. From October through March, Hawkeye offers a variety of Texas bird hunting packages for hunters to choose from. Our most popular mixed bag package includes traditional walk-up hunting with a chance at quail, pheasant, and chukar. Enjoy a plantation style hunt with experienced guides and trained field hunting dogs.
Our Dogs
Hawkeye’s bird dogs are a mix of pointers, setters, flushers, and retrievers, all trained on-site by our in-house expert. Our dogs are housed in a state-of-the-art facility and undergo year-round training to ensure peak performance. Guests are welcome to bring their own hunting dogs, with boarding available in our kennel. Dogs staying in the lodges must be kenneled at all times and should be properly trained for bird hunting.
